  1. Erase Disks- HOW TO ERASE DISKS
  2. Use erase disks to erase the contents of a disk.  The "Security Erase" option replaces each byte on the disk with a '0', removing all proprietary information.
  3.  
  4. 1.  Select "Erase" from the Disks menu.
  5. 2.  Insert disk. 
  6. 3.  Click "Automatic Erase" to quickly erase disks or "Ask before erasing" if you wish to be warned of the disk contents first. 
  7. 4.  If you wish to have your proprietary files completely unrecoverable, click "Security Erase"; otherwise, "Fast Erase" is sufficent.
  8. 5.  Click the "Erase" button to erase the disk.  (It will be highlighted once a disk is inserted.)
  9. 6.  Select "Quit" when you are finished.
